Refer to the camera&#8217;s manual for details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Auto-focus<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Most modern cameras come with autofocus. Sometimes there is an option to switch back to manual focus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A camera with <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Autofocus\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">autofocus<\/a> usally focuses when the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Shutter_button\">shutter release button<\/a> is half-depressed. Refer to the camera&#8217;s manual for details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Adjust Focus<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Aim the optical focus aid in the middle of the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Focusing_screen\">focusing screen<\/a> at the (part of the) subject you want to appear in focus. Here the focus is in the wrong spot. The focus is on the back of the hair and the kimono at the neck but the face is blurry. A telelens with a large diafragma has a small <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Depth_of_field\">depth of field<\/a>. For this photograph the focus is on the bassist. In low light conditions a camera will use a long <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Shutter_speed\">exposure time<\/a> causing the shutter to stay open for a long time. The photograph was taken from a different vehicle moving at the same speed.
