All elements in the photograph are depicted sharp and in focus (unless they are very close to the lens). Therefore you will often find fixed wide angle lenses in compact cameras and mobile phones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Depth_of_field\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">depth of field<\/a> range depends both on the selected <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Camera_lens#Aperture_and_focal_length\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">type of lens<\/a> and the selected <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Aperture\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">aperture<\/a>. This give a feeling of space. Image elements close to the lens seem extra large and elements far from the lens seem extra small. A normal <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Camera_lens\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">lens<\/a> has a <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Focal_length\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">focal length<\/a> (\n<math>\n        <mrow>\n            <mi>f<\/mi>\n        <\/mrow>\n        <mn><\/mn>\n    <\/math>) that is similar to the diagonal (<math>\n        <mrow>\n            <mi>d<\/mi>\n        <\/mrow>\n        <mn><\/mn>\n    <\/math>\n\t) of the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/File:SensorSizes.svg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">light sensitive surface<\/a>, so <math style=\"font-size: larger\">\n        <mrow>\n            <mi>f<\/mi>\n            <mn><\/mn>\n            <mo>\u2248<\/mo>\n            <mi>d<\/mi>\n            <mn><\/mn>\n        <\/mrow>\n    <\/math>. The diagonal of 24&#215;36 mm (full-frame) is roughly 43.3 mm. The lens depicted above has a focal length of 45 mm. from \n<math style=\"font-size: larger\">\n        <mrow>\n            <mi>45<\/mi>\n            <mn><\/mn>\n            <mo>\u2248<\/mo>\n            <mi>43,3<\/mi>\n            <mn><\/mn>\n        <\/mrow>\n    <\/math>   \n    follows that this a a normal lens. As the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Focal_length\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">focal length<\/a> increases, the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Angle_of_view_(photography)\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">angle of view<\/a> becomes smaller and the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Depth_of_field\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">depth of field<\/a> reduces.
